Projection-based AR for cultural spaces

Digital experiences that live in physical space.

Spectaria turns rooms, walls, and objects into projected, interactive cultural experiences. Calibrated Pro-Cam units map the space, Spectaria Studio lets teams author and publish content, and aggregated analytics help understand visitor engagement — for shared, accessible experiences embedded in the visit.

The system

One platform to author, operate and measure spatial experiences.

Spectaria brings hardware, software and operations together in a platform for designing, installing and evolving projected spatial experiences. Cultural teams keep editorial control; the platform provides the technical layer, management tools and measurement.

01 / HARDWARE

Pro-Cam units

Projection, camera and compute in one calibrated room unit. Ceiling, wall or dedicated-mount installation, Ethernet networking and stable operation in exhibition settings.

02 / SOFTWARE

Spectaria Studio

A web-based authoring tool to create, schedule and manage projected experiences — reusable across rooms and adaptable to new exhibitions.

03 / OPERATIONS

Analytics & fleet

Aggregated indicators for sessions, engagement, preferences and the operational status of every unit, designed for privacy and continuous learning.

Hardware

Built for permanent installations.

Two pieces of purpose-built hardware: the unit that projects and observes the room, and the physical control surface that brings visitors closer to the artwork.

PRO-CAM UNIT

Spectaria Pro-Cam

The core of the experience. Projection, computer vision and onboard compute in a unit designed for field calibration and reliable interaction in real rooms.

CONTROL SURFACE

Spectaria Plate M3

A physical control surface placed near an artwork or route, letting visitors navigate options with three buttons and associate a session through NFC. Interaction stays in the space, next to the content.

Software

Author once. Adapt to each room.

Spectaria Studio is where an experience is authored, scheduled and monitored on a calibrated model of the real room — with reusable blocks, operational state and usage indicators.

Visual authoringLay out surfaces, interaction zones, artworks and projected content on a calibrated model of the space.
SchedulingSchedule scenes by hour, day, room or exhibition, reducing technical reconfiguration on site.
Reusable blocksBuild with interaction blocks that can move across new rooms, exhibitions and visitor routes.
Usage analyticsTrack sessions, dwell time, engagement and fleet status through aggregated indicators.
Use cases

For museums, heritage and spaces where people gather.

Spectaria makes digital content visible, spatial and shareable while keeping visitors physically present in the cultural environment.

01

Museums & heritage

Reveal interpretive layers, direct attention between nearby works and turn cultural mediation into a spatial experience.

02

Exhibitions & brand spaces

Create memorable, measurable and reusable projected installations for exhibitions, launches and brand spaces.

03

Education & training

Bring abstract information onto physical surfaces and support group learning, discussion and guided exploration.

How it works

From physical space to operational experience.

01

Map the space

Map surfaces, artworks, visitor flow and the zones where interaction should happen.

02

Install the units

Install and calibrate Pro-Cam units with parameters suited to the room, ambient light and conservation constraints.

03

Author in Studio

Create content, scenes and interaction flows in Spectaria Studio, with editorial control retained by the cultural team.

04

Operate & measure

Run the installation, monitor performance and learn from aggregated usage indicators.

Pilot

Start with a controlled pilot.

A pilot in one room or zone validates visitor response, spatial fit, daily operations and content requirements before scaling to more rooms, exhibitions or institutions.
